Priti Adani
Priti Adani is the current chairperson of Adani Foundation, the CSR wing of Adani Enterprises Limited. Being an active philanthropist, Priti Adani keenly believes in serving the community. Leading the Adani Foundation, she has been able to make contributions in spheres of Education, Community Health, Sustainable Livelihood Development and Rural Infrastructure Development. Holding a degree in Dental Surgery (BDS), Priti Adani is the prime pillar of the group’s CSR initiatives. Her commitment towards societal empowerment is seen in her successful attempt to serve communities across 12 states. She is a mainstay in extending the CSR footprint of the Adani Group.
Background and early years
Born in Mumbai and brought up in Ahmedabad, Priti also spent a good amount of time in the US growing up. Her marriage to Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group Goa, was arranged by their respective families. However, lesser-known is the fact that Priti completed her graduation only after marriage.
Though a dentist by training, Priti gave up the profession to work for a larger cause through Adani Foundation that was established in 1996. It started off with a team of two and has grown tremendously over the past two decades. When asked what keeps her motivated, Priti Adani replied that it is her husband who pushes her to give her best, considering how he himself is so passionate about what he does.
Besides her work as a philanthropist, the Adani Foundation chairperson likes gardening during her leisure hours and is also an avid reader.
