Who Is Dhanush Manjunath?

Dhanush Manjunath is an Indian adventure cyclist, Guinness World Records holder, and reality television personality. He became widely known among Kannada television audiences after participating in Bigg Boss Agnipariksha and securing a place in Bigg Boss Kannada 13 in 2026.

Unlike many reality television contestants who come from acting or modelling backgrounds, Dhanush first attracted attention through an extraordinary cycling achievement. Along with fellow cyclist Hemanth YB, he completed a 24,000-kilometre journey across India, earning a Guinness World Records title for the longest journey by bicycle in a single country by a team.

His journey was not limited to sports. Dhanush reportedly experienced personal and financial difficulties before entering the entertainment industry. His determination to create a new future for himself became an important part of his story on television.

Dhanush’s participation in Bigg Boss Agnipariksha introduced his personality and life experiences to a wider audience. His appearance on the selection show included an emotional moment when he tore his Guinness World Records certificate, attracting attention and discussion.

He subsequently entered Bigg Boss Kannada 13, hosted by Kichcha Sudeep, in September 2026. His participation gave him an opportunity to move beyond his identity as an adventure cyclist and establish himself as a reality television personality.

Dhanush’s story combines endurance, ambition, personal struggles, and the desire to achieve something new. Although details about his age, education, family, and personal relationships remain limited, his cycling record provides a documented achievement that makes his biography distinctive.

Dhanush developed an interest in cycling and adventure activities. Rather than pursuing a conventional sporting career with extensive professional training, he and his cycling partner worked towards a remarkable endurance challenge.

His story demonstrates that major achievements do not always come from people who begin with extensive resources or established professional support. Determination, planning, physical effort, and the willingness to continue through difficult circumstances can also play important roles.

His later decision to enter reality television suggests that he wanted to explore opportunities beyond cycling and introduce his personal story to a larger audience.

His major public achievement has been connected with endurance cycling rather than an academic or corporate career.

The physical and mental demands of a long-distance cycling expedition require preparation, route planning, time management, and the ability to solve unexpected problems. Dhanush’s record journey demonstrated these practical skills.

Dhanush Manjunath Career Journey

Beginning as an Adventure Cyclist

Dhanush Manjunath became associated with endurance cycling through his efforts to undertake a long-distance journey across India.

He joined fellow cyclist Hemanth YB for an ambitious expedition that aimed to cover an extraordinary distance by bicycle. The two cyclists were not described as professional competitive cyclists; instead, their journey relied on preparation, determination, and physical endurance.

The expedition began on 11 July 2021 from Bengaluru’s Vidhana Soudha. The cyclists travelled through numerous Indian states and union territories before completing their journey on 12 March 2022.

Guinness World Records Achievement

Dhanush’s most significant documented achievement is the Guinness World Records title for the longest journey by bicycle in a single country by a team.

Along with Hemanth YB, he covered 24,000 kilometres during their journey across India.

The expedition presented several challenges. Long-distance cyclists must manage fatigue, changing weather conditions, road safety, equipment maintenance, food, and hydration. Travelling across different regions also means dealing with different road surfaces and environmental conditions.

Reports about the journey described the pair travelling through 24 states and three union territories. They carried substantial loads on their bicycles and completed the expedition without a dedicated backup or medical crew, according to contemporary coverage.

The journey was also intended to raise awareness about global warming and literacy. This made it more than a personal sporting challenge.

The Guinness World Records achievement gave Dhanush an important accomplishment outside television and entertainment.

Entry into Bigg Boss Agnipariksha

Dhanush later participated in Bigg Boss Agnipariksha, a selection programme designed to give aspiring contestants an opportunity to enter the main Bigg Boss Kannada house.

The show tested participants through different challenges and gave them an opportunity to demonstrate their personalities, determination, and ability to handle pressure.

Dhanush’s background as an endurance cyclist gave him an unusual profile compared with contestants who were already celebrities or established television personalities.

One incident attracted particular attention: he tore his Guinness World Records certificate during the programme. The moment prompted discussion among viewers about his achievement and the reasons behind his action.

Reports indicated that he explained the incident as a symbolic step away from a difficult chapter of his life. The moment became a memorable part of his television journey.

Bigg Boss Kannada 13

In September 2026, Dhanush entered Bigg Boss Kannada 13, hosted by Kichcha Sudeep.

His selection marked a significant step from adventure sports into mainstream entertainment. The show brought him into a house with actors, models, and other personalities, each competing to remain in the competition.

Dhanush’s story of endurance and determination gave viewers a different perspective on his background. His experience with demanding physical challenges may also have helped him approach certain tasks with confidence.

Reality television, however, requires more than physical strength. Contestants must communicate clearly, manage disagreements, build relationships, and handle the pressure of being observed by cameras.

His journey on the programme offered him a chance to establish a new identity and reach people who may not have known about his cycling record.

Dhanush Manjunath Major Work and Achievements

The 24,000-kilometre cycling expedition remains Dhanush’s most notable documented achievement. It required months of travel, physical endurance, and persistence.

His transition into reality television represents another important milestone, giving him the opportunity to build a public profile beyond sports.

Dhanush Manjunath Relationships and Marriage

Dhanush Manjunath’s romantic life has not been reliably documented in public sources.

There is insufficient verified information to confirm whether he has a girlfriend, wife, or current romantic partner. He has not become widely known for a publicly confirmed relationship.

Reality television often encourages viewers to search for information about contestants’ personal lives. However, speculation on social media should not be treated as evidence of a relationship.

As of October 2026, his marital status has not been reliably confirmed in the sources reviewed. It is therefore best to avoid presenting an unverified claim about his personal relationships as fact.

Dhanush Manjunath Lifestyle and Personal Life

Dhanush’s cycling achievement suggests a strong interest in endurance activities and adventure. A 24,000-kilometre expedition requires considerable time, physical effort, planning, and the ability to keep moving despite discomfort.

Long-distance cycling can also involve changes in routine, sleeping arrangements, nutrition, and travel conditions. Completing such a journey demands patience and cooperation between team members.

His journey with Hemanth YB also demonstrated the importance of teamwork. Although both cyclists had individual responsibilities, completing the expedition required them to work towards the same goal.

His entry into Bigg Boss Kannada 13 showed that he was interested in exploring a different professional environment. Instead of remaining known only for his sporting achievement, he chose to enter a reality show where personality and social interaction are important.

Beyond his cycling and television appearances, details about his hobbies, daily routine, private friendships, and financial activities remain limited.
